Will Your Plans for a Brand New Year Deliver the Same Old Results?

At the end of the year, many of us are trying to wrap things up in our businesses and close the books on the year. That’s simply part of doing business. Are you happy with the results you’re seeing? Are you experiencing the kind of growth you expect? Will your plans for a brand new year deliver the same old results? If so, what can you do about it?

Here’s the harsh reality: Things aren’t going to change unless you do. The numbers you recorded in your ledgers this year aren’t going to magically transform themselves next year—unless you transform your company.

What does transforming your company look like? It may sound a bit lofty and mysterious. What does it really mean? Here’s how www.businessdictionary.com defines transformation:

In an organizational context, [transformation is] a process of profound and radical change that orients an organization in a new direction and takes it to an entirely different level of effectiveness.

That demystifies things a bit. To be honest, it’s fairly simple. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s easy. And it doesn’t mean it will happen on its own. What it involves is a radical change in the way your business or organization thinks about and acts in four key areas:

  1. Strategy
  2. People
  3. Execution
  4. Cash

If you continue to operate the same way in those four areas, you can expect to keep getting the same results you’ve been getting. In fact—because the marketplace is constantly changing and evolving—you might even see poorer results if your strategy and efforts aren’t properly aligned with what’s happening around you.

Of course, it doesn’t make sense to take corrective steps with your company until you have identified the issues impacting your performance. The best way I know to do that is with a complimentary 90-minute transformational assessment. We’ll discuss where your business currently is and where you want to take it. We’ll examine the gap between where you are and where you want to be—and what’s causing them. Based on what we find together I’ll recommend the best transformational program for you and your organization. You don’t have to settle for the same old unsatisfactory results in the coming year. But to get new results, you’ll have to make some changes. Contact me today to get a jump on making changes in the New Year!
